2chicken breasts
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup parmeson cheese
1 clove garlic finely chopped
2eggs beaten
1/2 cup plain flour
2 tablespoons oil for butter
1 cup maranara or pasta sauce see notes

Chicken Parmagiana Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C line a baking tray with baking paper
  2. cut each chicken breast evenly in half cover with cling wrap or baking paper and hammer until it is flattened
  3. mix the breadcrumbs, garlic and parmesan cheese in a bowl
  4. coat the chicken in flour then dip in egg then coat in bread crumb mixture
  5. brush or spray both sides with oil or butter lay on a baking tray
  6. place in oven and cook for about 30 minutes turning once until golden brown
  7. remove from oven and spoon marinara or pasta sauce over each piece of chicken and then top with cheese
  8. put back in the oven until cheese is melted.

Recipe notes

You can add ham before the cheese if you wish, I don't bother because I don't think it adds anything to the dish

You can use a jar of pasta sauce or you can make it yourself.
